Sitting at His Feet

Day Twelve

We also are to be living stones:

Is. 28:16 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, A costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed.  He who believes in it will not be disturbed.

1Cor. 3:11 For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

1Pet 2:4-5 And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Day Eleven

John 15:15 "No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what the master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you."

Day Ten:

Ps. 30:11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness

Day Nine:

The bold text in the verses are put there for me only for emphasis

Deuteronomy 33:1-3

33 Now this is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2 And he said:
“The Lord came from Sinai,
And dawned on them from Seir;
He shone forth from Mount Paran,
And He came with ten thousands of saints;
From His right handCame a fiery law for them.
3 Yes, He loves the people;
All His saints are in Your hand;
They sit down at Your feet;
Everyone receives Your words.

Psalm 20:5-7

5 We will rejoice in your salvation,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!
May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.
6 Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heavenWith the saving strength of His right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

Psalm 78:53-55

53 And He led them on safely, so that they did not fear;
But the sea overwhelmed their enemies.
54 And He brought them to His holy border,
This mountain which His right hand had acquired.
55 He also drove out the nations before them,
Allotted them an inheritance by survey,
And made the tribes of Israel dwell in their tents.

Psalm 98:1-3

(A Song of Praise to the Lord for His Salvation and Judgment)

98 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
For He has done marvelous things;
His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.
2 The Lord has made known His salvation;
His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.
3 He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Matthew 25:32-34

32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Matthew 27:28-30

28 And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. 29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 30 Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head.

Acts 5:30-32

30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. 31 Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

Day Eight:

God said He created man in His own image.  I love how the psalmist writes about God's eyes, soul, and face:

Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."  God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Psalm 11:4-7 The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD's throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.  The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, and the one who loves violence His soul hates.  Upon the wicked He will rain snares; fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.  For the LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness; the upright will behold His face.

Day Seven:

I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'More from here to there' and it will move.  Nothing will be impossible for you. (Matthew 17:20)

Matthew 6:25-34
verse 34 says Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.  Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him (Matthew 6:8--but reading the whole context of this scripture is needed!)

*I URGE YOU TO READ ALL OF MATTHEW CHAPTER 6 WHICH INCLUDES WHAT IS KNOWN AS "THE LORD'S PRAYER"*  The Lord has shown me so much in this whole chapter of Scripture!

Day Six:

(Psalm 39:5-7)

5 Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths,
And my age is as nothing before You;
Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah
6 Surely every man walks about like a shadow;
Surely they busy themselves in vain;
He heaps up riches,
And does not know who will gather them.
7 “And now, Lord, what do I wait for?
My hope is in You.

(Proverbs 3:13-18)
13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding;
14 For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver,
And her gain than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies,
And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.
16 Length of days is in her right hand,
In her left hand riches and honor.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
And all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her,
And happy are all who retain her.

Day Five:

(Prov. 31:27-29) She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all.”

(Prov. 22:6) Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.

Day Four:
GOD:
  •  just -- will not leave the guilty unpunished
  •  compassionate
  •  delivers
  •  gracious
  •  kind
  •  slow to anger
  •  relents concerning clamity according to His will
  •  forgives iniquity
  •  merciful
  •  sovereign
  •  knows ALL things -- no one can hide from His presence

Day Three: Working with the public almost daily, I'm the "first line of communication" usually when people come into the place where I work.  I've been observing how the Lord puts people in my path who need Him.  I ask the Lord to work through me in order for believers and non-believers alike to see Him through me and to use me to bless others---but honestly sometimes I fall short of this because of my sinful attitude and heart.  Proverbs 20:9 says "who can say, "I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin"?"  I can identify with Paul when he says in Romans 7:15 "I do not understand what I do.  For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do."  My prayer is "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." (Psalm 139:23-24)

Day Two:With it being springtime, everything is blooming which makes me want to pick fresh flowers, which makes me want to change my kitchen tablecloth, which makes me want to dust places I haven't dusted since winter (not really :), and it goes on and on....ever feel like "getting your house in order"?  What does the Lord really want me to do to "get my house in order"?  In Genesis 35:1-5 Jacob ordered his household to get rid of their gods and remove their idols "So Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, "Get rid of the foreign gods you have with you, and purify yourselves and change your clothes."  ---I need to ask the Lord "am I prepared for Your return?"

Day One:Foggy mornings are a blessing from the Lord.  Everything is seen in a different light, slow down and relish it....sit in His presence, listen and ponder and meditate on what He has to tell you....He tells us to "be still"
